Uhh I just saw you have requested critique for this So here's mine harhar! Be aware
Vision
As you may know I'm a huge huge fan of conceptual artworks. I love it, when the artist really thought about the things he/she shot! So this one is a perfect example for what I mean. I love the way you put all the different things together and created a wonderful still life which looks as if it belonged like this forever!
Originality
It's always hard to decide whether a work is original and unique or not. The single elements like a clock, dry leaves, wood, etc. don't seem to be so unique. But I think the overall composition and idea makes it here! You put them together very nicely and as I said, I like the concept a lot. Nothing really to critizise here
Technique
When it comes to conceptual works, I think technique is not the most important point. BUT of course it's great to see thoughts that have been put into the technical side. I like your use of light and shadow to create a nostalgic feeling that is underlined by the depth of field. The colors give besides the nostalgic feeling a taste of autumn too - love it!
The only thing I'm not sure about is the crop. I really like squares, but I'm not sure whether this takes away too many atmosphere. I think you submitted this work as a non-square too and I like the way it creates mor width there and more motive in a way if you know what I mean. Here everything seems a little bit squeezed maybe... More space above the clock would have catched the eyes of the watcher better I could imagine. But of course this crop creates a kind of comfortable mood, which I like too ^^
Just an idea that came to my mind...
Another thing I thought of would be a different use of the depth of field. I think it would be interesting to see the same composition with more sharpness on the clock and less on the front elements... Just for curiousity ^^
Impact
Uhhh impact is always hard to describe haha ^^
Soooo... what really catches my eyes here is the strong atmosphere you created. The tension because of the depth of field, the composition, the colors, the lights and shadows - everything fits together very well and I like the way it affects me. The picture feels comfortable - sounds stupid, but I don't know how to describe it better ^^
All in all: LOVE
Keep your awesome work going I really would like to see more still life works of yourse, because I like the way you see the things!
